Alternatives to pain medication

Let's face it.....we live in a world where time is of the essence and we all want that quick fix. 

So we take a pill to relieve our pain.



I've written about what happens when we take pain medication too long and how it will trick our bodies into thinking we are in pain.  If you missed that one you can read it here.

What can you do to relieve or eliminate your pain without taking a pill? 

• You have to WANT to do it
• You have to find a Doctor who will get to the bottom of your pain
• You have to take the time to work with your Doctor
• You have to WANT to do it....wait, I said this already.  It's worth repeating.

The the only thing about pain treatment that is the same is the PAIN.  Technology is changing all the time and if you are not meeting with a Doctor who uses the latest technology....well, taking a pill is probably going to be the result which means for most of you living with pain will become an everyday event.

You were hurt in a car accident, at work, however it happened.  You hurt your neck or back, MRI's and X-rays prove it, so you know why it hurts.  That is the simple part

• Pain medication
• Physical Therapy
• Possible surgery

Wait, it's years later and you still hurt!!  Your friends have told you (because they have a friend, an uncle or themselves) get used to it...you will never be the same. 

Let's face it...we live in a busy world so if we are going to be in pain we forget the Physical Therapy and take a pill to get through the day.

What can you do?  Research!  If the internet is not your thing, pick up the phone and call a friend who is good at it.  Find a Doctor that uses the latest technology and make an appointment.
